I've been wondering how far the whole Ajax phenomenon will go, but haven't quite expected to be running the entire operating system in a browser. That's exactly what YouOS attempts to accomplish. Although still in alpha, this application is an amazing example of Web 2.0 in action.

Weather or not the YouOS experiement succeeds depends on their business model and market adoption (as usual), but one thing is for sure - it sets a new standard for the Ajax applications.
