For some reason, the quotes were messed up when this example was pasted into a blog post. To fix this problem, simply replace (`) to (') so that the following private static final DateFormat DATE_FORMAT = new SimpleDateFormat( “yyyy-MM-dd’T'HH:mm:ss.SSSZ”); becomes: private static final DateFormat DATE_FORMAT = new SimpleDateFormat( “yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSSZ”); Interesting.
