The "Flex 3:Developing Rich Client Applications" learning guide was the best I've ever seen for AS3. Every other book or tutorial I've encountered has been incredibly complicated and presented materials under the assumption that the student already knew a lot. This learning guide starts with the most basic and simplistic instructions and builds upon concepts simply and slowly. Fantastic resource.
